I have been living with my boyfriend (Mexican) for a little over a year now. He is really nice to me, and I love him very much, but sometimes I wonder if he respects me as much as he would if I were a mexcan woman. For example, when we go somewhere and he sees one of his mexican friends, he doesnt introduce me! He tells me that mexican men dont introduce their wives or girlfriends to their friends. Is this true? Also I feel like he really expects a lot from me as far as cooking goes and taking care of his kids. Please all you guys out there if you could give me some insite. I would like to think he views me as his equal or at least equal to Mexican women. Someone told me that guys born and raised in Mexico think white women are trash and Mexican women are superior.

Mexican men are latinos(like me)and they do introduce their women to other people, but lots of latino guys are possessive/ jealous and your guy may be worried that his friends will put the moves on you. Latino men are also very sexist(macho) and Mexicans are known for this even amongst latinos!!!They think you are just meant to take care of the home and children (seen not heard). It is not so much a matter of you been equal or unequal to Mexican women but of your being equal to him. A Mexican man, or any latino, not raised in the US or raised in the US by traditional latino parents will never view you as an equal. Someone to love, yes. Someone to protect, yes. Someone to guard or watch over yes but an equal? Never. So does he think you are trash? No. Does he think he is more than you because he is a man and he is Mexican/latino? Yes, yes and yes!

Truth is that Mexican men are brought up to marry Mexican women. Mexican women are very courageous and have that bravado that Mexican men love. They are sexy when they get mad and know how to have there Mexican mans back. The more you have in common the more the marriage most likely will last. Mexican men share many things in common like Religion, Culture, Traditions, Language and food. Usually Mexican are Machistas but that doesn't mean abusing your spouse that is not Machismo that is being a coward. Mexican men like being in control and dominate head of the household like the bible instructs. To be honest he should introduce you to his friends. I am not sure why he wouldn't if you were his woman. Mexican men always introduce there girlfriends and wives to their friends.

Because there very proud of their heritage and blood line (for whatever reason). And they see this grina* woman come her and try and act all superior and snobby by taking someone away from their family. Also, if you talk to a Hispanic person in America in Spanish, to them you are insulting them by assuming they cannot speak English, thus indirectly saying "your not smart enough to speak English." I think your asking the wrong question. You should be asking how do white American men feel about, white American women dating Mexican men. And to answer that, I would ask you... Why would you date a Mexican?

YOU'VE FALLEN INTO THE "MACHO MAN" TRAP. It is typical of a Hispanic man to demand more from a woman than a non-Hispanic man would. Especially if they were born and raised in the other country. My husband (who after 12 years is wayyyyyy past all that crap) was born & raised in another country and the girls there were taught to cook, sew, clean, etc to take care of their husbands because they do not work. The men may come to this country and feel that it should continue to be the same. As far as not introducing you, my husband never did that to me, but he is not Mexican, so I don't know if that may be a Mexican thing. And yes, some men from other countries think that American girls are easy. ( you can thank porn & racy movies for that) My husband told me that too.
