and obviously the pixels weren't right 'cos it came up all blurry. I have tried all theusual ways of deleting it and even tried to put another picture over the top of it but it won't go. Any advice?

I have tried deleting it from wallpapers but the photo isn't listed. I downloaded it from my photo album and have even deleted it from there but it is still on my desktop background.

Right click on desktop, go to 'properties', then choose your wallpaper and click 'apply'.

Have you tried to delete the file from it`s folder if you have xp go to windows open it and web folder then wallpaper find it in there and delete it it should be gone when you reboot

I'm afraid the resolution of your pic is too small and is not suitable to use it as a wallpaper.

Right click on desktop - select properties - desktop then left click on any other pic you want - click apply then ok

Go to C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper

the offending pic will be there; delete it
