Does straightening your hair once per week ( 4 times per month) damage your hair? (i have a curly hair)
Or are there some ways to prevent the damage?

Thank u!

Do you mean professionally straightened? With chemicals? I straighten mine every day, but with a plug-in hand-held straightener in my bathroom! I'm told it isn't good for my hair, but I haven't noticed any damage or change.

Once a week should not be as damaging as doing it everyday. If u use a heat protectant spray/product when you straighten your hair ( i am assumin that you use a straightening iron), then it should be ok. Along with that, you should be using the right shampoos/conditioners such as those made specifically for curly hair, dry hair or for heat-protection. I think sunsilk has a good range for that. Basically, don't overfry it, take care of it before and after straightening it and have regular cuts!

I think that any thing you do to your hair that involved such a high heat will damage your hair - but once a week is no that bad! get a heat resistant spray that will protect your hair from the heat but still your hair dstraightens perfectly!

Anything to do with high heat would damage hair. You can add back the moisture and nutrients by some deep hair treatment once per week to your hair and it's good in long-term. You can check out some home remedies here:
