You need 6mths remaining from date of return I believe is recommended. So you should be just there, but it might be worth applying for a new one anyway- at least it'll be there next time you need it!

that's fine, you're passport only has to be 6 months in date

the question is when will you return... you need to have 6 months left when you leave I believe.
