I mean I have a natural tan and I feel so healthy compared to these pale skinned people at school. I guess I can consider myself lucky because I can tolerate the suns rays unlike White people. They only have to be outside for 30 minutes and they turn red.

Pale skin isn't unhealty. The color of ones skin is dictated by the amount of melanin produced within the skin. The sun increases the productions of said melanin, causing a gradual increase in shading of the skin. It doesn't matter what color you are intially. The process works the same way for everyone. It's all in your body.

Believe it or not, us pale skinned folks are just as healthy and have less of a risk for skin cancer than those of you hanging out in the sun. It's really easy to see discolored skin on a pale person, and to notice when the freckles turn color. Not so easy for the darker skinned folks. Dark skin can burn just as badly as ours, and you won't know it until it's too late to do anything but suffer. Ever see the skin of somebody who regularly baked in the sun for several years? They look like well tanned leather. All those nice wrinkles, too. So before you feel too badly for those of us camoflauged in snow, you might consider what the sun is really doing for you and your hide. You aren't any healthier, but you could end up a nice piece of wrinkled leather later.
I worked for a dermatologist who made a killing off people who'd baked in the sun. They paid dearly for their face lifts and eye jobs, and to have all those little skin cancers burned off and cut out. So if it's all the same to you, feel sorry for me if you want, but I think I'll just stick with my pale skin. I'll get my vitamin D in the milk, thank-you.
