No one truly knows what is the cause of eczema. Some blame it on genetics; others say that it is simply just a disorder. However, there can be several triggers to eczema; such as food triggers, stress and weather changes.

Here is a blog that I have been following on natural treatments for eczema http://www.eczemaskintreatment.com

The owner of this site discusses about causes and possible remedies.

Commonly found in people with family history of eczema, hay fever or asthma. As with asthma, a variety of conditions can aggravate eczema: infection, emotional stress, food allergy and sweating. The underlying problem is the inability of the skin to retain adequate amounts of water.

I never thought about it as a "disease" but, I guess your right. It's been in my family for generations and I guess we've just accepted it as life and, living.
Some in the family have it worse than others. We've been told by dozens of doctors that it's inherited from the female side of the family ( thanks mom?)

Every time a child is born the first thing that comes to mind is "does the baby have eczema and, how bad?" and, does it also have asthma, they almost run hand in hand. Thanks for listening and have a good day.

NO ONE REALLY KNOWS WHAT "CAUSES" ECZEMA, BUT YOUR BORN WITH IT, YOU INHERIT IT. ITS NOT CONTAGIOUS, BUT IT STAY WITH YOU YOUR WHOLE LIFE, IT USUALLY GETS BETTER AS YOU GET OLDER AND A LOT OF PEOPLE ACTUALLY "GROW OUT OF IT." YOU USUALLY GET A FLARE UP IF YOUR STRESSED OR ARE ALLERGIC TO SOMETHING. OR IF YOUR LIKE ME YOU ALWAYS HAVE SOME ECZEMA PATCHES BUT YOU GET MORE OR THEY GET WORSE OR ITCH MORE UNDER THOSE CONDITIONS.
