I honestly dont see any reason why people want to get troops out other than
- Save american lives and money
- Because it's Bush and republicans, so whatever they do is dumb and must be opposed
- Because Bush is evil and everything he does must be opposed
Look, i'm sick and tired of hearing this garbage of "GEORGE BUSH WAS WRONG WE MUST GET OUT"... It is a much more complex situation than some people seem to think.

It's like... I honestly dont see that it's going to achieve anything... You really think Iraq with insurgents running rampant with noone to keep them in check would be more stable, and better for the world?

There is no 'Rosetta stone' answer for Iraq.. no easy answer. I think it is pointless to waste time on the 'woulda, coulda, shoulda' in the rearview mirror. Important what is at hand in the present. With that said, it achieves a great deal getting out. The most important - saving lives of both our troops and the innocents caught in the middle.

The question should be redirected (from the premise), 'What would be achieved by STAYING in Iraq?

I'm not going to get into all of this again...I have answered so many similar questions already "BUT" you say one thing that is a little different...

New Democracy?

Please...Iraq is very far from ever being a Democracy and as soon as we leave, even if it is some type of Democracy, it will not last.

The strongest group of people will take charge and I can almost guarantee that at some point in the near future, Iraq will become another Islamic State, just like Iran.

We should get OUT! What could be more important than saving those young american lives? We dont have to leave the region just get out of the target practice we have become by being inside Iraq! O(h and 7 billion dollars of missing money in Iraq is kinda wastefull!

Regardless of why we went in; getting out before there is a stable Democratic government running the country will result in another Militant Islamic State in the region.
In the long run, leaving too soon would have a much greater cost in American civilian lives, not to mention all the economic & property damage terrorist attacks here will cause.
Toning down the war on terror, or trying to negotiate, will just give them time to reorganize & rearm.

Your first point is the most important one. Saving American lives and money. The other issue is if people in Iraq want the USA there. Some say yes, others say no. Pulling out isn't a great idea.

President Bush not in any respect counseled "destroying" Afghanistan or Iraq. He universal doing the problematic proper over the common incorrect and ending politics as accepted contained in the middle East. the great effect of that replaced right into a bypass in course of democracy. it began lengthy earlier the present round of shifts in North Africa. look into imperative Asia.

Aside from saving billions of dollars and the lives of many soldiers, it would keep us from infuriating people from around the world and creating more terrorists... We could also try to regain some of the respect that we have lost and be able to start using our diplomatic skills to help solve some of the worlds problems, right now no other country would listen to us.

Very simple answer. People are dying for a cause that doesn't make sense. It has nothing to do with hating Bush at this point, and everything to do with preserving lives that he cares nothing about. I'm Canadian, I don't live under your idiot ruler, and yet soldiers in my country are dying for Bush's war. Enough is enough. Send them home before they're all dead.

If you ever want to hear the truth of what they're doing over there, head over to Micheal Moores website (google search) and read some of the letters the soldiers have sent in. You think they're fighting a worthy fight, and they're wondering why they're being forced to stay on long after their dates are up, to sit around and watch people die.

If we pulled the troops out by the end of the year, my husband would be home to see his first child born. But that's just a personal standpoint. Politics give me a headache.
