Cockney slang and expressions made their way to Australia chained up in shackles in the holds of the First Fleet.There were numerous convicts from London transported to Oz.Many of them were transferred from prison hulks to Portsmouth for transportation.
This is not a matter of geography,but is history,which can be found in historical records.
