The Roman Model is best. Citizenship should be earned through a combination of low cost college civics courses AND either military service or a domestic peace corp. type organization. You ought to give a little before you have the privileges of being a citizen.

A normal one with NO anchor babies! The anchor baby stuff is nonsense, obtaining citizenship at birth was never intended for illegals. There are some immigrants here now working toward their citizenship (the way it's supposed be done) they came in through the front door like normal human beings, LEGALLY. Citizenship through amnesty in our case (about 20 million illegals) breeds disaster, they'll be little if any assimilating and gives birth to a nation within a nation.

I believe that at least one parent should be a US citizen in order for the child born in the USA to have US citizenship. If neither parent is a US citizen, then the child SHOULD NOT be considered to be a US citizen. The child would automatically have the citizenship/s of its parents from whatever country they have citizenship from. I think the outdated ANCHOR BABY law should be removed from the books!
