We know Mohammad did not, neither did Buddha who only promised "enlightenment" and even rejected God. Who else dared promise it if He was not God ?

The only other person who even hinted at that was John the Baptist who had many of the same followers as Jesus. He didn't promise salvation but did tell people that the one who would give salvation was coming. By the way, the Muslims do not reject Jesus, they only regard him as a lesser prophet than Mohammed.
With my upbringing I cannot understand that mind set and I am sure with the average Mid-Eastern, they cannot understand why Mohammed is not considered a God by the rest of us.

I'd rather have enlightenment any day or look in the yellow pages under salvage . sad but true children are easily convinced ....what you profess is evil not godly.and politicians promise the same thing every time election rolls around!

Baha'u'llah....who was a prophet of God
Antinous.....who was God incarnate
Though it depends on what one considers you are being "saved" from. Example: Jesus "saved" humanity from sins. Krishna "saved" humanity from ignorance. Antinous "saved" humanity from all its wrong actions and thoughts. Et cetera.
