The Word of God says that we are not to make a vow to God and fail to do it. And the Word of God says that no liars will be in Heaven. You can always(as long as there is breath in you) repent and ask God to help you to not do it again. You will be punished for your sins. The Word of God does not say that you will not be punished. God will forgive you but you do have to pay for your disobedience. That will probably not lead to death but you will be chastised. If He didn't chasitise you, then that would mean that He didn't love you. Just as we punish our kids when they do things we have told them not to do. We punish them because we know what is best for them. Not because we hate them or don't like them. We want them to do better. That is the same way God is. May God Bless

sometimes when we make a promise it's more like we are telling god what we are going to do instead of asking for help with our weakness try to remember his love and that punishment is for those that don't even care. good luck on your paper

In Judaism, isn't the opening prayer for Yom Kippur, Kol Nidre, all about God forgiving people for promises they make, but can't live up to?
No, God is infinitely forgiving. God understands that we're human, and make mistakes.

You're in a religious class, and you refer to God as he/she? For your answer, breaking a promise is sin. If you ask God to forgive you, He is faithful to forgive your sin.

I know that "God forgives us even if we do more sins, but we should deal him as a best friend and make him satisfied".

if you promise to anybody, you should keep your promise...
this is moral thing... Ä°f you have to break your promise... you should explain your excuse to whom you promised ...
if you promise to Allah it is also same... you should keep it or... if you have any reasonable "for your conscience" excuse ... then break it ...Allah is most merciful ..
Ä°f you break your promise without reasonable excuse...
Allah should punish you here or afterlife or just forgive you...We cant know this ...this is between you and your God.
