Where would I find a code or how can I bypass? The paperwork for the computer and pre-installed software is lost.

Where and from whom did you purchase this computer?
Have you looked at the back of the computer? the sides? often there is a product code sticker. A tech from your server can probably help you more if you can provide information about your computer.
You are going to need the product code and the only way to find this is through the purchase.

If unregistered, abode windows will lock up after 30 or 40 5 days. the only way which you will apply it with out the codes is illegally, utilising some form of patch or hack it extremely is unsupported via Microsoft.

contact the mfg. of the computer with this info. and give them the model and serial no. They may be able to help you.
Try going to; www.(name of your computer).com and look for a tech help link.
If your computer is HP, you are in luck!
