I for one totally agree. It a legal issue more than a religious one, in my book. But, you know the christers have to have a cause...They don't want abortion so that the kids can grow up and join thier cult. I wish they'd take it somewhere else.

The comments approximately Australia are loopy. They easily have been initially a Gun Nut united states of america and protested whilst their government had to take them away. even though, they have not had a mass capturing when you consider that 1992 as a result and the Australians (even people who protested) will now help you comprehend they experience lots safer. besides, not all weapons have been taken away; people nonetheless have looking rifles and if a bad guy or boogie guy broke into your homestead, you're able to nonetheless be waiting to do distinctive harm with a looking rifle. My element - can we incredibly want each and every American to have get right of entry to to gadget weapons and sniper rifles? won't be able to we limit particular gun get right of entry to and in basic terms make hand weapons and searching rifles obtainable? only saying.

I can see where people may push it in this section...but I'm thinking it may belong to the political arena. We get it, Christianity is against abortion.
I think it may even be better if it were worded differently, and asked a genuine question. The problem is that people use the R&S board for their religious (or non-religious) rants, and simply add a question mark on the end of it. If a KID were to get on here, and I know they do, and see that...it makes me sick to think about it.
It's not appropriate here or anywhere. It's legal, it happens, move on.

Well... I think since it's a moral issue for a lot of people and since people often consider their morality inexorably linked to their religion, they wouldn't think to discuss it in any other forum.
But personally, I agree with you. It gets old. If they want to make a fuss about it, they should paint up a few signs and march around a college campus. My sister is going to school right now and says she sees pro-lifers doing that almost every day.

For people of many religions, life is considered to come from God, or at least it is not for humans to kill that fetus. Buddhists believe abortion is wrong, too. I think the basis of banning abortion comes from ones religion and beliefs. Better as religion than politics.

Yes, like religion it it a personal choice. Religious groups just need to learn that not everyone out there believes in the same things that they do, each person is different, each cirmstance is different. How would they like it if someone of a different religious faith told them what they can and cannot do?

I think the spiritual considerations of abortion are very important. religion is just quoting what someone else said, and is therefore of no interest to me.

i agree. abortion, right or wrong, is a matter of religion and a matter of law. what say we move it to sports? or games, or the internet and computing? that way it wouldn't clutter up the spirituality part.

Murdering another human being is addressed in the Bible. Don't do it, plain and simple. So all topics that are addressed in the Bible should be here.

Since abortion has to do with death which is a religious topic, it will be in this category for ever. Christianity, Judaism, and Isalm all denounce abortion as murder.
