I have had 3 sexual encounters with my girlfriend thus far and everytime I start I get hard than go soft again because my heart begins to race and I get really nervous she is sexually experinced and i am not this would be my first time having real sex with someone that likes me and i like them back alot...so I dont know what the problem is please help

you are nervous because maybe you're thinking how can you please her better than she's been pleased before... or if you're doing it right... or does she think i'm incapable...
why not try to tell your girl your case...and maybe put her in the driver seat... let her take the lead until you feel comfortable at your own performance

Actually, your problem is a normal situation. You are trying to be Mr. Perfect for your mate.. This is admirble, however until you relax you will continue to suffer through this. What you should try is more foreplay, women enjoy more foreplay than us men. but the results are a more satisfying sexual experience.

in the absence of a diagnosed medical problem, i would suggest it's just nerves. my advise...
1 - find a way (non-chemical) to RELAX. the best way i would suggest is to choose a low- to non-stress location.
2 - take your time. she is there by HER choice, so you have won the major battle, and just have to enjoy the rest. hell, get her to help out - it is a partnered event after all...
3 - it's all a learning experience, and (despite the portrayal in pornographic media) sex is not a precision event. beat the nerves and the rest falls into place...
