I was wondering does exercising in cold weather benefit more in the long run? Your body does have to regulate the temperature and it burns more calories + the exercising. Or does exercising in hot weather more beneficial? Which method can help you lose more weight? Please answer with all the factors, like amount of time exercising. Thanks

It's consistency in your exercise program that's the important thing, not the weather. Have you noticed how gyms tend to keep the same temperature all year round?

Living in Canada, I believe that exercising in cold weather can be beneficial. When you're feeling the winter blues, getting outside to do some cross-country skiing or skating works wonders. In very cold weather (under minus 20°C) make sure you wear a scarfe over your mouth. The cold air can be shocking on the lungs. Generally, go with what you feel. If you are in pain, stop.

I would have to know your level of fitness starting out.

If you are not used to regular exercise, start slow, and start indoors.

See a doc and consult him/her about your weight loss plan. They can evaluate your overall health and tailor a plan to suit you.
