no. it depends on what you put on them that counts.

I replace the sour cream with cottage cheese
Add steamed vegtables and you have a well balanced meal

If you drown it in butter, sour cream, and cheese and bacon, probably. But in and of itself, it's probably fine. I've heard somewhere that a person can suffice on potatoes and milk, though I'd want to add a bit of citrus to it all the same.......

How many? how often? Lots of carbs in a potato, if you are overweight or diabetic or both you might wan't to moderate your potato habit.

why would it be? its unhealthy to eat half a stick of butter on one though, and if you are me its unhealthy to eat a potato at all, since im diabetic.
