muhammed was not a religious person, but a military one. he advocated the use of violence to spread his ideas, but the quran, koran, qu'uran, or whatever way it's spelled is a book of warfare, not religious tolerance and how to be a good person. it speaks more of the violenceyou are to commit against women, and men, regardless of what their religious belief is. it is especially adamant that non-muslims are to annihilated if they do not convert. muslims claim it is a religion of peace, but it was born of war and has just as violent a history as almost all other religions do, including, but not lomited to, christianity, judaism, confusionism and taoism.

In the Quraan in Chapter Baqr, Verses 1 to 5 Allah says,
"This is a book without a doubt, a gide to the pious. These are the people who believe in the unseen (God) who establish prayers and spend out of what we have given to them, These are the people who believe in the book we have sent down upon you (the Quraan ) and those that we have sent before you, and who believe in the day of Judgement, these are the people guided by thier Lord and they shall have the salvation."
In another place in the Quraan chapter CVII verses 1 to 7
"Do you know of the people who deny the Religion, These are the ones who push away the orphans from helping them, and who desist from feeding the poor, Woe be to such people who only pray to be seen of men, But who do not even take care of the small needs of thier neighbours."
The Quraan is a direct command from God
Unlike the bible which is a third party narration, with varying gospels, contradictions and editions adultrated from times.
The Quraan has the best5 humanitarian message unadultrated, and reverred, and gives due glory to all Prophets and Holy books and upholds the diginity of all followers of the true God,
To clear your bias as to why God cancelled all other books after the Quraan although he asked people to believe in the books sent as Gods word read how the Bible has been changed over the years, Read on. I quote the Bible,
"Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourself every girl who has never slept with a man." (Numbers 31:17-18)
"The Lord commands: "... slay old men outright, young men and maidens, little children and women" (Ezechial 9:4-6)
"When the Lord delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the males .... As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves." (Deuteronomy 20:13-14)
"You will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you." (Deuteronomy 28:53)
"The Lord said to Joshua [...] 'you are to hamstring their horses.' " (Exceedingly cruel.) (Joshua 11:6)
"... Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead with the edge of the sword and; also the women and little ones.... every male and every woman that has lain with a male you shall utterly destroy." (Judges 21:10-12)
"This is what the Lord says: Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have; do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and *** .... And Saul ... utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword." (1 Samuel 15:3,7-8)
"The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their women with child ripped open." (Hosea 13:16)
"A curse on him who is lax in doing the LORD's work!A curse on him who keeps his sword from bloodshed!" (Jeremiah 48:10)
And many chunks of the old testament have been banned in many European christian countries cause it speaks of gory sexual details,
Now If u still wanna follow the books, Please go ahead.

I am sorry but the 10 commandments are never disregarded. Even in Islam one has to love thy neibour, not steal ect.
Please study before genrealizing. Prophet Mohammad says " A man can never enter paradise if he has fed himself well, and his neighbour stays hungary"
Second GOD says in the Quran " Chop the left hand of the person who steals"
In both these places stress on not stealing and loving thy neghibour much more then presented in the commandments. Study a religon not by seeing its followers, but buy reading its authentic texts, in case of Islam , the Quran and Sayings of the Prophet.
And even though we muslim belive that jesus and moses were prophets, we also belive, and can be proven that people like paul, corrupted their teachings, changed the bible and the commandments to his liking.
For example, I say that I have a servent, and he is a bad servent, that is he steals in my house regularly and behaves badly with me , but then one fine day I tell him that hey, all your sins are forgiven since I will give my son in sacrifice for your sins (kill him). Sounds stupid, but then christians attribute the same to GOD. It is quiete evident that all this beliving that Jesus was the saviour was introduced as a concept by Paul so that now he and his followers on this pretext could follow their vain dirty desires since only their belife would take them to the kingdom of heaven.
All this corruption in previous messages was the prime reason why GOD sent Prohphet Mohammad (PBUH) and the final testament the Quran so that these errors could be corrected. This time around GOD Himself in the Quran takes responsiblity of guarding the message from corruption as stated so many times in the Quran.

Oh there is such a big gap in the genealogy of the two that it would take much time to explain. I will try in short details, Abraham(the father of faith and who came before Moses) had two sons. Isaac(by his wife Sarah) and Ishmael(by his concubine, Hagar). Isaac's offspring are Christians and Ishmael and his offspring are Muslims. So Mohammed never had the Ten Commandments in his camp because Moses came after Abraham and on the Christian side of things. The two have always had bad blood. You need to read the Book of Genesis in the Bible to understand fully. May God Bless

Muslims believe that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are all forms of the same religion, with Islam being its final and most developed form. They also believe that all previous holy documents (the Bible, the gospels, the Ten Commandments, etc.) are all primary forms of the Qu'ran, and that the Qu'ran is what should be followed, being the most complete document.
I hope that answers your question.

Did you believe moses' claim of divinity; cause that little commandment of not killing never gets followed in spite of the effrontery to your divine creators and supreme rulers of the universe . If a half of that energy wasted standing on ceremony could have been channeled into a more productive set of tasks just think of the benefits to the society of mankind . stop your killing and that didn't have to come from god it just makes sense.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Christians steal, cheat, and kill all the time. Just go by your local prison for proof.
If Jesus wants us all to love each other, why are we fighting a religious war? Hmm? Why is it ok to send our Christian children off to kill people in Iraq, when god said not to kill each other?

I think the Christians broke that law during the Crusade,The Spanish Inquistion, and when they invade Iraq.
You are ordering us obey the law that you(Christians) didn't even obey?
