Peer pressure plays an important role especially when girls want to keep their boyfriend or keep him happy. You should not be pressured by anyone into doing anything you don't want to do especially having sex. Society (videos, tv, music, fashion) also promote sex, and I think it encourages people to have sex when most of the time they aren't ready. Look and listen really carefully to what is being said in the media and what kind of clothes the role models of these teens are wearing such as Beyonce, Christina Aguliera, and Lindsey Lohan. When you're that age, a lot of teens tend to let their hormones do the thinking for them. It's sad, but it's true. This is the world we live in, but we don't have to give into all of this.

I think there are many factors involved.
the first one would be hormonal changes at such ages. Honestly I was almost having a wood when I was a teenager even the sight of a skirt would make me wood ( a bit exaggeration, though). So that would be one factor In both males and females.
So when you see the tigh of your friend in class you are gonna get real hard, and not to mention those boobs which tend to point like arrows.
the second factor would be the availability of rated materials on the internet and on TV. statistics shows that most guys are exposed to dady's porn stash at an early age - around 12. Well if you are a guy and have watched porn, you can tell me the feeling you have during the show.It adds up gas on fire. Plus most of the TV shows , in my opinion, are semi porn. All those commercials showing almost naked models, all the BET and MTV stuff where you see the Ladies shaking what their mama gave them...well add all that into the age of hormone erruption, and the willingness of our teenage girls to take risk in experimenting sex ----well it is a fertile land for sex.

Sex rate is not very different. It's just that teens are more open and talk about it now. The teen are starting to realize that it is NOT a bad thing and if they are to make EDUCATED decisions, THEY are the ones that have to talk about it because the parents are too scared to admit that their teen may be sexually active.

Because the law is wrong, did it ever occur to you that this was voted into law because the people it affects aren't allowed to vote? Adults get these stupid ideas that what there doing is helping but there making it worse. Don't people deserve to have a say in something that's targeted at them?
