how cute is that. it means that he's possessive of them. my rott used to that and hide the toys behind the sofa then guard them - so that's the rott side of Him coming out. how i the world did a beagle and a rottweiler mate.... who's who's mother and father.

Aw, that's cute. Most likely your dog is doing that because he misses you. My dog does that sometimes too except he dosen't make a pile of items infront of the door, instead he just lies there and waits for me to come out of the shower.

I think he's feeling a low level of seperation anxiety while you're in the shower and is trying to make a nest as a comfort zone. If he's comfortable in the bathroom, I would suggest you let him stay in there with you and talk to him while you're in the shower.

oh, this is so cute!
He's definetly knowing you are coming out eventually and he wants to be ready right away to play when you are coming out the door. When you come out next time, grab a toy right away and if he ges super happy, then you have found his thoughts to be that he just couldn't wait to play.

he might be nesting and or trying to make a confrotable spot while you shower, my husky/lab dog piles my bed sheets when she wants to slepp!!!!
