I use a non-stick pan, follow all the directions, and yet it still gets brown and kinda burnt on the bottom of the pan.. it like sticks to the bottom of the pan and burns itself... not alot but just enough so its not loose rice...only the top of it is loose... can someone help me out on getting better non sticky rice?

Lower the heat level. And if you still have trouble, try stirring the rice after about 15 minutes of cooking time.

I ALWAYS have to put more water in that stuff than what the package says - and I would swear the package used to give directions for more water than it currently does. I use it for a variety of dishes, and I've learned to add about a cup more water than it says - and it usually turns out great. So - my advice is put more water in it, turn the heat down a little when you cover it to let it simmer, and if possible, use a pan with a clear glass lid so you can check the progress without letting the steam out.

I know everyone will disagree, but try doing two things: one, stir the rice occasionally, and, two, turn the burner way low. Stirring the rice every 5 mins or so will help you to know how fast it is cooking, and keep it from sticking together. Turning the burner down will help prevent the scorching.

You probably have the heat too high, and are not stirring enough. It's usually pretty foolproof...

make sure your fire is not too high. constant stirring is better...
