Brothers and sisters, are you using the "Check Spelling" feature provided by Y/A? Are you capitalizing and punctuating correctly? Are you answering with love and respect? Are you asking meaningful, thought-provoking questions?

Before you hit the "submit" button, take a second look. Are you sending out a message that will glorify God?

Here is the reason I asked the question: I have seen Christians called ignorant and mindless (and worse, as you well know). Not that I am thin-skinned; but how do we get our point across if we use poor spelling and grammar? Doesn't that just reinforce the thinking of a non-believer? I agree that God cares more about content; but we are witnessing to those who would blaspheme the Holy name of God. I have seen some brilliant questions and answers from my Christian brothers and sisters; but I have also seen some that make me cringe. I am not judging or rebuking; I am just advocating a more liberal use of spell-check.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.”

Yep,I think so! I do know what you mean though. It doesn't make a very good impression if we look like we can't spell.I hope your question makes an impact!

There are some serious people too in this Y/A
and maybe they arent the ones who are running a spell check for there are more important opinions to pass on to somebody and much knowledge to be shared than being just with the right syntax.
God looks at the intentions carried by people in thier hearts and judges them accordingly,
You will be doing a disservice to God and Humanity if you can answer well and you dont, on the other hand there are those that spew venom and mislead people with wrong quotes and even bizarre half truths.
Thats even more detrimental than ignorance.
and Gods glory and praise is sung and acknowleged by the entire universe, every living thing and soul present, God isnt in need of praises cause he is our benefactor and it is his mercy that has this world functioning,
It may be that by our glorifying God , God in his infinite wisdom has kept a way open for us to recharge our beliefs so his mercy can continue upon us.

"As Salaam O Alaikum" (May Peace and Blessings of the Almighty God be upon you).

Amen

With all due respect my sister, I kind of think that the last thing on God's agenda is spelling and grammatical errors. True we should all practice good skills but our main objective is souls. We all recognize that mistakes happen from time to time. Our testimony consists of the way we live our lives and our lives' circumstances. Not our writing skills. Proverbs says that a just man falls seven times. Well what makes him just if he is a Christian and he falls seven times. What makes him just is that he recognizes that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and that Christ died for him and his sins. What makes him just is that he gets up and tries again. That's the same with our spelling and writing errors. We all recognize that we are human and we do make mistakes. The thing is that when we realize that we have made spelling and writing errors is that we don't stop responding to yahoo answers(and God knows from some of the responses that are on here, we don't need to do that)because of it. Not being disrespectful at all my sister. May God Bless.

ya, i m proud to be a christion. i tink dat i am speling evrything crrectly. I hope that i am answrering yo're questins in a polit maner. ...and i hup dat dis has been meeningful and thaught provocking to you as wel. god think i am glorifiying him.

I don't think it's a matter of spelling and how it looks to everybody else. It's not about pleasing man, but pleasing God....and I don't think God cares about spelling.
