I love god and I believe in him so much. I haven't done my communion and I'm 20 yrs old, I really wished I did. I want to show that I really do want to get close to him and that I accept him in my heart. Although I have done some very bad common things that some consider sins and not to mention I listen to heavy metal, people take me the wrong way. I want to fix my life and become a better person and I tried church but something always gets me and I lack off. This is something I really need answers too, can someone help me. PLEASE

Do not worry,The Lord has said,"even if a mother forgets her baby ,i will not forget u"
He is always there waiting for u,this i am telling u out of my own experience, i have done many sins, but when i realised and turned back he accepted me and made my life like green pastures,
That is the Love of God,its wonderful
Cheer up,say a simple prayer ,Talk with the Lord and ull find how sweet he is,
I bet u might have not experienced anything as this before

You might start with being born again.John 3 explains this very well.Almost everyone knows John 3:16 but they don't read to the end of the chapter how we are supposed to come to the light that our sins can be brought to the light.Once our sins have His light shed upon them we can see how ugly they really are and find repentance as well as direction because we are in the light and not in the dark any longer.Once we repent and rid ourselves of that old man we become a new man,born again in the image of Christ.Then is when we seek baptism,for we are to repent and be baptized.Note: a baby cannot repent.Mark 16:16 tells us that if we believe and are baptized we shall be saved.Note that once again a baby can"t believe.I really believe you have a tremendous love for Him,He has a tremendous love for you as well.Go to Him right now,don't wait another second.He will receive you and forgive you of all your sins.God bless and my prayers are with you.

I stopped going to church but when i turned 21 i found out i really missed God and learning about him,
I went to a Charismatic Pentecostal Christian Church that had a lot of young people, and all ages, they were all very enthusiastic and seemed genuine... after a very short time, i realized they were and so was God
Through this, i learnt more about God and now i feel so much closer to him (of coarse i accepted Jesus Christ personally as my Lord and Saviour, and he is now closer to me than any human could ever be.)

I've done some much messed up stuff, its ridiculous. I sin all the time, were not perfect. You don't need church and communion is just talking to God. Look, God knows if your heart is good and if you really want to change and do good. E$ventually you and I can stop the rebellion and surrender to his will. You know his will, its inside you. You don't need to ask us here, ask God yourself tonight, before you go to bed, meditate for 30 minutes. Your answers will come in your dreams. trust me ; )

Maybe you have not found the right place for you because you haven't looked at other ways to worship God. Music has nothing to do with your faith or not. I got completely turned off to God by going to a church of fanatics, Pentecostals. I do realize that there are many intelligent Christians so don't be turned off by fanatical nonsense. You do not need a church if you want to worship your God.

hey, 1Cor mentions something about communion. do not do it just like that! in our church u do it with The Apostles' creed followed by The Lord's prayer, then we partake in it.
Also, have you prayed for The Holy Spirit to come into your life as your Helper? The Holy Spirit, as Jesus said, was sent to guide us and be our Helper. He comes with the gift of tongues, healing and prophecy, though He might not give you all 3 gifts together.
He will also guide us in our life, where at times one needs to see beyond normal understanding, and into the realm of super-understanding. Have faith!
do it with an open heart, and without any doubts, if you seek Him you will surely find, for He loves us.

I have to agree with some of the other answers. Your faith is found in your own heart, not what people tell you should feel. Also, take the time to read about different faiths. A good topic to explore is "comparative religion." Something else that is good to do is think about what inspires you in the world you live. Is it nature, is it science, how about people that work in different charitable groups? When you find something that inspires you, touches your heart, then talk with the people involved in that area and find out what their faiths are. Read about people in history that you admire and find out what they believed, these are just a few ways to explore many of the wonderful beliefs out there. Just remember, you will know you have found the right choice when it speaks to you on many levels - your mind and your heart.

Believing in God is great, but we are all separated from God because of Adam and Eve's sin. We inherited sin from them. If you really do believe in God and want to get close to him
and if you believe that Jesus died for ours sins then you have to be born again. If you believe with all you heart then say this pray
"Dear Lord, i know that i am a sinner, but i am sorry for my sins.
I believe that the Lord Jesus died for me and rose again and with all my heart i turn from my sins and receive Him as my Saviour right now. Thank-you
lord for saving me Amen
if you say this pray then you are saved and you will be able to come closer to God

When you turn your life over to God the devil hates to lose you to God so when it is time to go to church the devil will let your phone ring or your head hurt. He will try to stop you from hearing Gods Word. If your heart is tender toward God He will put you thru a process of maturing in His word in your spirit. Spend a lot of time with Him. Just worship Him.Hear a lot of word. Read the Bible alot and ask God questions. Obey Him. Give to god. Dedicate to Him. Thank Him for everything even what looks bad because He is about to turn everything around for you. He always makes something good out of the bad for you if you love Him. That is the way love is. God is Love. You can drink His blood and eat his body everyday at home by yourself. Repent for the bad things you did, He wants to make you clean. He will make you Holy. You will think like Him and talk like Him. We must endure to the end to be saved. To be saved means so much more than going to heaven. God will come and abide in you and live your life for you. You can live just like you are in heaven. Welcome.
