Forget what you believe now. tell me, Would you prefer it if we were created by a God who loves us and wants us to follow his will, or would you like it better if we were just here by accident, with no purpose except to get as far in life as we can, and then die? And please, before anyone goes there, do not say that most peoples inherant desire to believe the former of the two is what spawned religion in the first place, because I have already argued that point so many times that I just don't want to go there...

I was "created" by an act of sex that happened long after the love had faded.

I can't separate what I believe from what I would want, they are both the same thing. What I want, and what I believe is that God created us, loves us, and cares for us. It's the only option that makes any sense.
What I can't believe is that 20 billion years ago, nothing went bang, and here we are. Evolution has been proven to be a farce. The more that scientist learn about the universe, the more they are beginning to realize that it was created by an intelligent being

I really would have preferred a supreme being less the sickness and diseases but not the moronic one devised by early man . And I must take exception with your viewpoint that a causeless or godless existence lacks purpose; it is full of purpose. Also who was the fool that thought a god of supreme intelligence would impose such an insane criteria .

I don't see how anyone would want to be an accident. The idea of a loving God really does sound better to me out of those two options.

Hypothetical. Not Theoretical.

Wouldn't it be nice if there were a "benign" and "goodly" father figure above who loved us all, as long as we obey his every word and don't show too much free thought, and watched over us like sheep in flock and when the wolves got us we'd be taken to heaven and live in paradise forever where we could worship him and hope he doen't have another bipolar moodswing and wipe out the earth's population again in a flood or something... Uh... No. I like freedom, and that sounds too much like slavery and humouring a madman.

All humans try to get as far as they can and die. I dont need imaginary friends to help me along the way. The idea that I am a part of the universe without the need for sky faries is fine with me.

It would depend on which God or Gods, I would vastly prefer to live in a Universe where we are an accident than in one ruled by the Christian God.

I really like your question....i like to think we are here because of an accident...like( OOPS i dropped the test tube in the toilet kind of thing)....LOL....you know your going to get all these narrow minded Christan's mad....he he he.....but, yes it would be better to just go through life and get as far as we can ...even tho in the end we are going to die...that sucks, being THEORETICAL or not.....

Of course I would want to be created by a God who loves and cares for us. Purpose of life is a big question and no one wants to be a sensless creature.

Animals live in a state unaware of death, and with no higher purpose in life than mere existence.

God created man to be higher than animals, with much greater potential and dignity.

I'll take what I was given.

Choice c. Whatever the hell each person knows or decides or believes is between them and their god, or the lack thereof and none of your business because this subject is a double edged blade that only Christians and atheists, possibly others okay but they're the only ones who I know for sure would be able to answer this question, would be able to answer.

We are all different. Our gods are different.

Also. Christian god is not loving. He's a hypocritical, racist, sexist homophobe. Wow. He's my mother's boyfriend. At least, by the actions and words of Christians combined that is what he is.
