Some people use it for pain relief, but other than that, I don't think so. Apparently it causes more damage to the lungs than cigarette smoking. It also causes memory loss, impaired reaction and judgment, and lower ability to fight off colds and flu. Someone said recently on here that it prevents alzheimers, however, this conflicts with studies that it causes memory loss. Also, doctors now believe that long-term, it causes psychosis and anxiety.

It isn't something that is good for you, but neither is taking Tylenol or Advil. Many people use it medically for a similar pain reliever or relaxant. It will deposit THC in your body (in several different fatty areas) this is why it takes varying amounts of time to clear it from your system depending on the amount used and the level of THC in it. It is true that smoking it poses many health risks. However there are other ways to medically use it. Many people orally ingest it by cooking with it, which if you are in the right conditions, use it for the right reasons, and use the right amount, can be, in my opinion, quite safe and with little or no negative consequences. Risk or not, I don't in any way condone the illegal use marijuana.

Of course it is...
Haven't you heard of the school bus driver who ate a marijuana laced brownie someone put in his lunch, ran off the road, killed 3 little school kids and went to prison for manslaughter... ?
He had nothing but time to work out and build his body up. Besides, it's hard to get fat on prison food...

No, not really unless you have an illiness that is so painful that all other pain killers seem useless, it could also lead you taking other drugs that are extreamly habit forming. I believe it is illegal in almost every state ecept California. I have heard California doctors can prescribe it in some cases when you have an incurable and very painful .disease.

no it causes brain damage, lowers verbal IQ, and decreases motivation. let alone of all the chemicals it brings to the lungs. over all its not good for the body.
research only indicates that it may have some medicinal benefits for certain medical conditions and that the even though it has some cons, it provides a benefit for terminally ill patients. this does not mean its safe for pleasure use.

No its not "Good" for your body, it clogs your brain up with THC, slowing reaction, thought, and memory patterns. It also has 4x tar then a cigarette. Not very good for your body, unless you sit around all day. Then sure i guess its ok. It also leads to alot of junk food.

Some would say yes, I say no! Your mind is the most powerful organ in your body, and the last thing you want to do is destroy it.
Please see the following:-
>The harmful effects of marijuana on the Brain and Central Nervous System
>Impaired thinking, mood, memory, and coordination
Marijuana (THC) is an extremely powerful and pleasurable intoxicant. It affects, alters, and damages brain cells controlling thinking, emotion, pleasure, coordination, mood and memory.
>The pituitary gland is also damaged which regulates hunger, thirst, blood pressure, sexual behavior, and release of sex hormones.
>Clogged synapses, brain damage and addiction
Marijuana accumulates in the microscopic spaces between nerve cells in the brain called "synapses." This clogging interferes by slowing and impairing transfer critical information.
>Long term use causes the brain to stop production of brain chemicals necessary to "feel good" - a negative feedback condition. And, the user becomes chemically addicted to marijuana.
>The harmful effects of marijuana on the Heart
Speeds up heartbeat as much as 50%, increases blood pressure, and poses great risk to those with hypertension and heart disease.
>The harmful effects of marijuana on the Endocrine System
Marijuana damages the network of glands, organs, and hormones involved in growth and development, energy levels, and reproduction.
>Organs and glands affected:
pituitary gland
thyroid gland
stomach
duodenum
pancreas
adrenal glands
testis
>The harmful effects of marijuana on the Reproductive System males and females
Marijuana use can decrease and degenerate sperm, sperm count, movement, and cause lowered sex drive. Females can have egg damage, suppression of ovulation, disrupt menstrual cycles, and alteration of hormone levels.
>Regular use during pregnancy can lower birth weight and cause abnormalities similar to Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (small head, irritability, poor growth and development.
Can destroy the number of chromosomes, resulting in cell abnormalities and impaired function.
>Other affects on the central nervous system
distortions of perceptions, thinking and reality
Difficulty in forming concepts and thoughts
Poor concentration
Mental confusion
Loss of motivation
Wide mood swings
Aggression and hostility
Depression, anxiety and paranoia
>The harmful effects of marijuana on the Eyes
Sleep looking, blood-shot eyes with dilated pupils.
>The harmful effects of marijuana on the Throat
Irritates membranes of the esophagus; increases chance of developing cancer of larynx and esophagus.
>The harmful effects of marijuana on the Lungs
Significant damage and destruction of the air sacs of the lungs, reducing the lungs ability to bring oxygen and remove carbon dioxide - Emphysema.
Causes bronchial tubes to be inflamed, thickened and to produce more mucus; resulting in narrowing of the air passages - Chronic Bronchitis.
>Marijuana smoke has twice as much "tar" as cigarette smoke and significantly increases chance of lung cancer, inflammation and infection.
So, no, its not good for you
