I bet you it will work out if the feeling you have for each other is genuine. My husband and I met online in 2003, fell in love with each other, we finally got to meet/see in person in 2004 (that was when he proposed also), we got married June 2006, and everything is wonderful. How far we were from each other that time? We were half the planet away from each other...so cheer up, love, trust, and respect for each other is the key!

Wow! that is a good question,it takes alot of trust to make it work. How do you know the other person is being faithful? No one really knows what their distance lover is doing, when they are not with them. Its very hard to love someone and be so far away, their are times when you need someone to be with you,and i dont mean on a partime basis. It will only work on a short term basis. So if you are really into this person someone has to make that move.Good luck!

There really has to be a good reason why the two people are living apart and can not get together (like last 2 years of medical school has to be finished)
Otherwise I would question why someone isn't making the move to be closer.

My girlfriend had to move back home in England for 11 months, i'm stuck in Canada.
So far the 5 months that shes been gone have been brutal, however i just think of the future rather then the present.

It's rare, but it's been known to happen.
The main problem I've had with them is feeling like we had to cram a month's worth of relationship into two-day visits. Too much pressure, and not enough reality.
