Hi I want to continue singing but unfortunately.....I have had a very long break since my last coaching and I cannot afford to have a vocal coach now. Any advice on how I can strengthen my vocal cords without have to pay a hefty sum?

hiyas! if you have a tape or CD of one of your last lessons, you can use that to help you get back into practice. That's what I"m doing, since I'm broke and too far away to get real lessons, I'm using the CD I have from my last one and warming up and singing the pieces he gave me to sing. But be careful! You can do serious damage if you don't practice correctly. So make sure that you're not pushing (it's the kiss of death), but that you're supporting. That's a very fine line, but it's doable! Remember what you learned in your previous lessons and put that use during your entire practice. Good luck!
