could be cluster headaches...they feel like migraines. could even be tension headaches. they can be terribly painful too, and are usually caused from neck and shoulder pain working it's way up into your head. i don't know how you got away with ganking some morphine, but i wouldn't advise attempting to inject yourself again...seriously. you don't know what dosage to give yourself, and morphine is not too fun of an experience...it causes most ppl to vomit harshly, which will cause you a lot more pain. if you're not injecting in a sanitary way, you can get an infection and get really ill. i really do understand your pain...i have migraines and cluster headaches...tegretol might help you. other meds to ask about are, talwin, neurontin, ultram, even methadone...i've had to use all of them before. these drugs are highly addictive, and you have to be managed by a doctor. you may need to have a cat scan to see if something is wrong in your brain, and causing the headaches. cat scans are not scary or painful, and they don't take long to perform. i hope you get some relief soon. take care.

DON'T inject yourself with morphine, you could hurt yourself. I went through something like this a few years ago. I would get these headaches that would literally put me in tears every night before I went to bed and throughout the day. I went to the doctors and even had to get an MRI to make sure it wasn't a tumor (it wasn't). But the meds the doctors gave me didn't work either. I basically had to sit it out for about a month, it sucked. My conclusion was that it was due to stress and tension. Are you stressed? Try and relax, take baths, do what makes you feel at peace. Get an MRI too if you can. Sorry :(

Get your Dr to refer you to a neurosurgeon ASAP and get a cat scan. Sounds like you could have the beginnings of a aneurysm or just migraines, they can treat both usually-Best to be safe than have mourners.

Can you find a pain management clinic in your area to do an assessment for you? It sounds very painful and scary. You deserve help so keep asking for it! Best of luck to you!

aside from going to the doctor for a mri - keep track of what you eat, for example cheese causes a lot of problems for headache / migraine sufferers.
hope things get better !!!

I would say it is definitely time to go to the E.R. or to a neurologist.
