on the basis of constitutional amendment that states "all men should be treated equal" i can say that yes Muslim's can be cops. Although i cannot promice that a Muslim will not run into any difficulty or fight for his/her rights to be a cop, especially after all the controversy with the middle east. Racism still exists, and we all know it, although it is illegal there are many ways a person can get away with it, as they do already!

Yes. Muslim is a faith, and if you're referring to being a cop in the United States, it would be illegal to not hire a Muslim based on his/her religious beliefs.

I see why you ask the question with all the media and stereotypical views of people.

However any person, whether black, white, muslim, pakistani, chinese or cantonese can join the police because they are an equal opportunity employer and race or religion are not an issue.

They only ask you about it for their own records so that they can see what percentage of the force is of ethnic minority origin.

Sure. Declining to hire a person based on religion is against federal law.

They don't ask you what your religion is on the application form, so it doesn't matter.
