The intentions are good. But only to gain legal statis. I have been legal for 20 years. She is not legal. What are the possible legal problems? She of course would be deported if INS found out. What would/ could the INS do to me?

If prooven, prison for the citizen and deployment for the illegal alien and a whole lot of mess not worth getting into marriage should be for love not a greencard and some petty cash or gifts.

A fraudulent marriage is falsification of public documents as provided for in the Penal Law. It is punishable by imprisonment if proven in court.

Anywhere from 6 mos. minimum. misdemeanor to maximum 36 mos. felony then deportation either way
