CCleaner is a good choice. Another one you might try is called Dial-a-Fix.
Another option if you use Internet Explorer and have a fast internet connection is Microsoft's Live OneCare site. It's a website with a number of online tools that can repair some problems. Worth a look and it is free. The drawback is some of the tools do require you to download an applet first.

Here is the best way to fix windows problems:
Go to a DOS prompt,
type: format c:
press enter
All of your windows problems will be gone shortly.

Just pop your windows CD in and act like you are doing a reinstall, and click repair.. Windows usually repairs alot of its own issues, but remember keep your system up to date or it will not function properly.. :)
