Everyone around me seems to think there is nothing wrong with this!! Tax payers in 45% of cases have to support these kids. All I see around me are kids having kids!!!! They think it is so cute! Are there that many people in this world who are so lazy to use some sort of birth control they would rather have a kid than be a little embrassed and buy a condom!?!?!?!?! AAAAHHHHHH

Yes, like i've said...someone needs to work on "mandatory birth control" safe for teens. Keep them injected until they are 18, legal, and "old" enough to decide for themselves. Until 18, keep them on birth control pills, patches, iud's, sponges, condoms, and maybe throw in some chastity belts on top of it. Dont' forget educatation for aids, etc. But we can at least lower the pregnancy rate. (yes i know BC can fail, but it's better than nothing!!!) By golly, these parents need to get involved too.
Oh, and yes i CAN make that decision for my child, they have no right to have babies until they a legal adult. Until then, I'll assist in their birth control and education by golly!!

Depends on what you regard as kids really, i admit 14 and 15 yrs could not provide parental guidence or financial to their child without the support of their own parents and obviously the added support of the governement. How would they work a decent wage whilst at school to support a child nor if they drop out school to work a junior wage job.I do not believe they would love their child any less then a person of the age of 30plus however. I do know of alot of 17,18,19 year old mothers who do not "sponge" off the governement and support their child or children by working and claim the same support as a working family of as i say the 30yr old age group. Each situation is different and is not really for an outsider to judge, but there is the vaild argument of children having children for the dollar value however i know in society these kids are not the only women playing the system women up to the age of 50 play the kids for cash game.
Also another point of view is what about the teenage mothers who actually stay with their partners who step up to the plate and provide as any normal family would. They dont "sponge" and marry their partners, however because they came pregnant whilst they were 16,17,18,19 get labled as single welfare mums just because of their age. Sometimes people get pregnant when they go to lengths to stop it.
Thats the way life is.......

I really agree with you! I think people should be having only as many kids as they are able to fully support 100% independently without gov't assistance!
I'm sick and tired of a part of my hard earned paycheck going to support people who don't work (on purpose via having numerous kids). It's not right!
If they want to be irresponsible and get pregnant, they should grow up, work full time like I do and support themselves like I do.
I work hard 40+ hours every week and I've had difficult times in my life financially, but I have NEVER asked for gov't assistance, not once and never will. When I have problems, I go out there and work tons of overtime. Why can't they?????

babies have been having babies for hundreds of years. what's maximum stunning as we talk is that there is a time for a new child to be merely that---a new child. Twelve and 13 12 months olds should not be having babies in as we talk's international, yet they nevertheless are. Why? by way of fact they seek for romance from yet another person and that they are no longer getting that love from their mum and dad and different family contributors. a infant has to remember on somebody, so the young people think of that the baby will love them. it is a tragic situation, yet till we tackle the social themes of unmarried-parent families, divorce and different social ills, the area is doomed to proceed.

I love you. No, really. lol I'm not against people having kids, but I think the person should be at least 19 years old. I think condoms should be given away for free and the teens should be made more aware of it. It's more embarrassing for a teen girl to go buy a pregnancy test then to go buy a box of trojans.

I agree, my husband & I have a 4 year old (yeah I now that way young) but we hope to have aopen relationship with her, I mean god forbid she has sex at 14, but if she is going to I rather her come to me for protection & advice. I never thought I would think like this, I mean I will still preach abstinance, but I really do not want a child & grandchild that are a welfare stat.

Yeah kids these days ( well not all) seem to think having a baby is 'fashion' accessory!..i really object to all these girls who have kids to
1. Try to keep the boy/man
2. Use it as a means to not have to work
3. AND HAVING TO PAY FOR THE ONES WHO GET EVERYTHING FROM THE DSS!!

AGGGHHHHH don't get me started!

Yeah, I'm kinda sick of people who can't afford to have children having them and crying poverty. I've stopped giving money to many charities because I don't feel as if I should pay for other peoples mistakes. It's really the children and the taxpayers that are suffering because of the stupidity of some people.

**To you bleeding hearts out there I don't think the children are the mistake, what their parents wittingly did to bring them into the world was a mistake.

Man seem you got some issues. I was married and had children at 15 . My marriage lasted 12 years . And I think most of it its not the kid . The parents and how they are raised and informed about all of the precausions and about love . . I know when I was young I wanted attention and someone to love me.
