I know you mix evaporated milk with a can of water but I've never used filled milk before and wonder if it's the same.

I live in Tennesse, and it's only illegal if they are using some type of fat like palm oil or coconut oil to put in to make it cheaper for them to produce, or something like that. You can look at the Filled Milk Act.

It's also used for cooking and creaming. It's a blend of non fat milk solds and vegetable soya oil. I only thought I'd try it out cause it said it was for cooking and creaming, so I might as well use it since I have it.

I know it's sweetpj's question and I apologize for butting in. I didn't even know there was such a thing as filled milk and had to look it up.

The article I read on the US FDA website says that filled milk is illegal to sell. Now I'm curious where you live and what filled milk is used for.
