What places are the salvation army people banned from? The people who stand outside and ring the bell in the winter.

I never understood why it was banned anywhere. I can understand places like Wal-Mart being strict about not interfering with the customers. I have seen some pushy people ringing those bells. But I've volunteered to ring the bell the past couple years. I'm looking forward to it this year. I have never asked a single person to donate money. I just wish each and every one of the people who walk by a Merry Christmas. It's so much fun to do if ring the bell with a buddy who likes to have fun singing carols and having a good time. THAT'S the kind of thing that gets people to donate more money, I've found. I look at ringing the bell as something twofold. Yes, the point is to raise money for a worthy cause. But equally important is bringing a smile to someone's face even if they can't or choose not to donate.

I did not know the season is upon us. I hope they are welcomed everywhere because they are a huge charity in the USA. Their cause is the children whose parents are poor, unavailable, or rich and off living their own lives without their children. They also care for men and women who have no special skills to warrant a good job. The list goes on and on!
Be thankful you are not in need, even though they do a tremendous job.

I hope it's EVERYWHERE.!

The Salvation Army is the main support system for street bums and chronic substance abusers. They don't help these poor people get off of their habits, they just keep them alive on the streets. What good is that?
