The fact that she won't take money from you is encouraging - that may be her way of telling you that she doesn't plan on using you. It sounds like she loves you, but the real question that you have to ask yourself is whether or not you'd be willing to live there. How and where would you find a job? Can you speak their language? Would you be able to adapt to life in the Philippines? If the relationship were ever to end, what would you do? Could you ever come back to the US? Would you become a citizen of the Philippines? These are all questions that you should be asking yourself. Be that as it may, she is clearly serious about you. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Given the poverty that prevails in third world countries like Philippines, you can't dismiss the possibility of Filipinas (read: Philippine girls) looking for foreigner husbands just so they can alleviate their difficult situations. It's their meal ticket out. And it's not only isolated in the Philippines. But there are still relationships being nourished between Filipinas and their foreigner partners without this agenda as the main reason for being. Some really love each other that's why they persist regardless of the distance and scarcity of time to be physically together.

She doesn't take the money you sent because maybe 1) she doesn't need it or 2) she doesn't want to give you the impression that she is only after what you can provide her. And another unique thing in your case is that she's asking you to live in the Philippines not the other way around.

With that I can say that most probably your girlfriend loves you.

Besides, friendster testimonials is a very petty basis to doubt someone's love for you.

well..here's a little heads up..filipinos are passive people and they believe on being polite all the time, so dont be surprised if she doesnt take your money
but i think she does love you...well her family and friends say she does...so why not?

WELL WHY NOT GO AND STAY FOR A MONTH OR SO...TO SEE HOW YOU GET ON WHEN YOUR TOGETHER FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME.INSTEAD OF PACKING EVERYTHING AND GIVING YUOR LIFE UP IN YOU OWN COUNTRY....DONT MAKE RASH DECISSIONS...IM SURE IT SOUNDS LIKE SHE LOVES YOU..AND IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU LOVE HER...BUT SPEND MORE TIME TOGETHER FIRST..PLUS YOU CAN GET A TASTE OF LIFE IN THE PHILAPINES...YOU MAY NOT ENJOY IT THERE !!
