I don't know Kannada but in hindi they are called CHILGOZAE. The shell is brown in colour, they are about 2 - 3 cms long. Kind of cylindrical but tapered at both ends. The nut is off - white in colour. These nuts are not broad as almonds. Infact they are like a pencil but tapered at either end as I mentioned before. They are about 1/4 the size of a pencil in diameter. Hope this helps.
Dil is a green leafy vegetable that has very fine leaves.
