It has to mean something to both of you. Ask the parties involved. Both the bride and the groom has to approve. Usually only the brides opinion seem to matter but that is not right.

For father/daughter we did Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me"--for mother/son we used Rod Stewart's "Have I Told You Lately"--and I walked down the aisle to Norah Jones' "Come Away With Me" and back down it to "Kiss Me" from Sixpence None the Richer.
