I just happened to remember a bubblegum I used to get, back in the 80's.

What was special about it was, it had a flavored liquidgel center that would burst when you bit down on it. I also recall that it had an unusual shape to it, similar to a sofa throw pillow. I can't remember the name of it, or if it is still made.

(I had the recollection today, as I discovered Wrigley's has reintroduced "Hubba Bubba Bubblegum," which was also originally from 80's era. http://www.hubbabubba.com)

It was Freshen Up and it came in Bubble Gum, Cinnamon, and Spearmint flavors.

I sure wish the company( I think it was Wrigleys) that made CLOVES, BLACK JACK and BEAMANS would bring those gums back. I liked cloves the best.

ST, there was a gum named BURST also, but the flavor wasn't as good as Freshen up

I loved that gum! It was called "Freshen-Up."

If you like that sort of thing, there's a new Jolly Rancher that has a filling in the center - yum!

Maybe it had a different name in other places, but here it was called "Burst". (in Canada) It was pink and did look like a throw pillow. The middle was kind of "syrupy" if you bit it in half.
