or turn them off? make them go away due to the lack of interest/ attention?

the guys wont play that game and it makes the girl look lame! another rule of thumb is that guys dont get subtlety, so dont even try it, it just confuses them if they even take the time to notice it in the first place.

It depends on the guy if they don't have much confidence then don't play hard to get but if they are persistent then they may like it. But don't play too hard or else most people would lose intrest after a while.

I like it now a then, it make me work for it, but sometimes i don't want to work for it. Sometimes i feel i just want to say something like hey girl, would you like to get a bit to eat, or something like that.

No, not really...
Only so much "hard to get" that a guy will tolerate..
Then he moves on...
He doesn't know you are playing hard to get..
He thinks you don't want him ...EVER...
