It's human nature to think you're right while everybody else is wrong. This is complicated by the belief held by many Christians that they must witness to people and convert them. These people will only listen to your beliefs long enough to form a rebuttal that will prove you wrong so you'll come to their church. I doubt this is what Jesus really intended.

Religion just like politics is a private matter. We have the privilege of voting in private. Why does everyone we meet want to know what religion we are.

One of the rules I set for my employee's. I told them they would be reprimanded if they ask a client what her religion was? My reason was, we had clients of all race and color and we were not to judge and then decide who we would help the most. I demanded fairness to all. I'm retired now but I still feel every one is my equal. No better than I am and no one beneath me.

There are way to many questions about religion. Too many obsessed with religion. They really need to get a life or maybe they are those that churches were built for. Maybe they could get there questions answered in church.

The wisdom that comes from above is first pure, and then easily entreated.People that do this are not wise except in their own eyes, yet all of us have this problem to a certain degree.I pray God will help us all. This starts in child hood.Recently some children were arguing while playing church about who was going to be the preacher. After the decision was made this little boy got up and the first thing he said was "I had rather have been a listener tonight, but God had called me to preach" at first we thought it was funny ,but later his father had a nice talk with him.We need to be sensitive to the needs of our children.

they're insecure and desire to seize the floor of certainty without a tussle of any sort so are searching so you might declare specific I agree or be converted. i discover this constantly no longer basically with faith. i discover 'chatting' somewhat stressful as - it in no way is ordinary yet virtually constantly uninteresting and htere are little hooks so you might settle for and ensure the others certainty. i will look pedantic yet I waste an astounding sort of time being caught up in those style of conversations the place i'm no longer predicted to take part. I even have had to set out a pre -talking contract with peopel approximately what my circumstances for listening are. And what precisely they're desiring from me.

I am a Christian and I work with many people who are not. I will listen to them and try to answer questions or point things out the best I know how. If they do not want to talk about it I do not push it onto them. However, I feel I should let people know about Salvation and what is coming in the near future. And even though I listen doesn't mean I agree with them and I will let them know this. My point is I do not pressure anyone or disrespect anyone. There are people who listen.

People don't want to be open to new views because they fear change... They are stubborn to change because that might cause them to have to adopt a new set of core values - a fearfully difficult step to take for anyone beyond the age of a child.

Additionally, most people believe that theirs is the only belief system that could possibly be true... and here they are dead wrong..... ONLY MY BELIEFS ARE CORRECT AND YOU ALL KNOW IT..!!

Because everyone believes that their individual religion is right and all others are wrong...this leads them to hate all that isn't their religion.
