My eye doctor's assistant told me I should do this and to disregard the "no rub" label. Is this true or no?

Depends. Who do you trust? A manufacturers label that's clearly marked? Or perhaps some flunky working part time because he can't find a real job? It's up to you. If it were me, I would opt out of the rubbing.

Yes its true rub it anyway there could still be stuff on your lens if you dont rub it...the makers just put no rub on it to sell...its not going to harm anything..I rub my no rub solution on my contacts all the time..

I would follow what the assistant told me. The "no rub" is just a selling point, as they promise that an added ingredient to the solution will simply remove dirt and grime etc from your contacts just by soaking them in that "specially formulated" solution.

Duh ! the effect is still the same as with other contact solutions. Its up to you to try it for yourself. Live with the leftover little imperfections or just clean it ias you would with regular solutions.
Experiment.

I ALWAYS RUB MY NO RUB SOLUTION. I THINK IT IS JUST AN ADVERTISING GIMIC TO SAY NO RUB. YOU REALLY NEED TO RUB TO GET THE LENS CLEANED I THINK. CONTACT LENS USER FOR 10 YEARS.
