You don't need medication. People have the ability to help themselves out. You should go see a psychologist and talk about it. Talk about why or how this event started and the approaches that can take away the symptoms. I talked about it so much that it went away. You have to face your fears even though it may be difficult.

It is always good to just have some medication on hand just in case. I had a panic attack about 6 months ago and only used the medicine once since then but I was glad that I had it.

Not really. Just take it easy at work and if it happens again I will recommend for you to go to the doctor. I had one of those one time because of stress (work). Stress got to me and my arms were numbing. I made an appointment with my doctor and It was a result of high blood pressure due to the stress.

i really do understand whts panic attack is all about...my ex girlfriend used to have frequent panic attackls bcs she was a sensitive type of girl...it really did scare me whn she had panic attacks, i tried my level best to help her over come this problem, we went to doctor but nothing worked...when she started to meditate every day for 30 minutes, it helped her overcome her problem, well the result was not instant but slowly it helped her.
You shld meditate which will help you to have full control on your mind, remember its all mind's game, if we cannot control it properly we will be controled by our mind...
you shld also do some breathing excercises, it will also help you.
I still talk and hang around with my ex girlfriend till today, looking at her now i must say tht i m impressed she really can control her panic attacks, now she is stable....

If they are frequent and affect the way you live your live then I would consult your doctor. Depending on the severity there are different ways to deal with these "attacks". Whether it be tools learned from a psychologist or the use of prescribed drugs.

if you got just one, then i would say no you dont need medication. just make sure that you're taking time every day to relax and do things that you want to do. if you find they're coming more and more frequently (like several times a day), then you might want to consider medication or counseling.

I have them too and I decided against the medication. Just because once you are on it you have to stay on it. Talk to your doctor and see what he thinks. There maybe other ways to deal with it.
Good luck!

Only if it's a chronic condition. Next time it happens, take a brisk walk. That may help.
