Don't worry about it, like dogs, most people also breathe heavily during sleep, noting to worry about
I also have a lab puppy, we got her when she was 8 weeks old and she breathed heavy too during sleep, she was just resting.
Your dog might also "run" in his/her sleep, his/her paws and legs might move during sleep, just in case you might get worried about that. :)

Maybe he's too warm,Labs have short hair, but it's very dense. Are his gums and tongue nice and pink or do they have a grey or blue cast to them?If so,then he could have a heart problem, but if he's got good color and is otherwise acting normally;eating, playing, etc,I would just ask your vet when you take him for his next set of puppy shots. He has had a set already, hasn't he?

If he's fine during the day, then I don't see any problem. If he had "parvo" he would be terribly ill, all the time.
They sleep heavy, deep sleep, unless he starts showing signs during the day of illness, I don't think you need to worry.
If you think he's in danger then do take him to the vet.

dont know what you mean by breathing heavy---puppies are deep sleepers-they snore--breath heavy....still you are there and you are uncomfortable--have anoher person look at the puppy as well to see what they think---the vet is always the best answer--

prolly stressed coz he doesnt have his mother...put a tick tock clock under the pillow...that will simulate the mothers heartbeat and he'll sleep...usually the behavior is to bark, wimper etc...this is the first I've heard of breathing heavy...if the clock doesnt work take him to a vet...
