You are not expected to. Those employees earn minimam wage where as waitress'/waiters do not.

The only time I've tipped is at a restaurant where you can order over the phone and driveup and they bring your food out to your car (Applebees). I would never tip at a normal fast food drive through. I feel like we're paying enough there anyway, and the people who work there aren't expecting tips as part of their salary.

Think delivery.. If they deliver it to you, then you can tip. (sonic's, pizza hit, chinese food delivery). However, if it is an actual building that offers "fast food", you do not tip. Do not tip. Remember what the definition of etiquette is, knowing the proper courtesy at the moment. You do not tip, fast food joints.

um.... not at a drive through, but sometimes at a donut shop. Drive-thru's, I've never seen a place to tip even, and at like, McDonald's they don't usually provide a tipping jar/box, but like, at a small, non-chain donut shop, it's not proper etiquette or whatever but it's a nice thing to do

The only time I've tipped at a fast food place is when they have to walk out to the car to bring me my food (Sonic's). Otherwise, I just pay for my food and keep moving. I think if I tipped someone at McDonald's or Wendy's they'd probably look at me like I'm crazy.

If you receive no "service" (i.e. you order at the counter and pick up your food at the counter) then I don't think it's necessary to tip, even though there are those big tip jars on the counter. (Still haven't quite figured out why they are there, even though I sometimes drop coin change in them...)
If someone brings you your food, whether to a table or to a car outside (Sonic) or delivers to your home, it is proper and recommended to tip.
Just my opinion.

I attempt this each and each and every of the time, yet really because the position I stay, most of the employees have project getting orders proper (about seventy 5% of the time). it is partial language barrier for some and partial stupidity for others. The language barrier i will comprehend, not absolutely everyone in my city grows up in an english speaking loved ones. puzzling yet comprehensible. Stupidy isn't comprehensible in spite of the actuality that. also, lots of them are only undeniable dumb youthful children who want to slack off. they don't comprehend artwork ethics and artwork delight. i do not care what line of work you're in, you should nonetheless do your interest to the finest of your means. some get it proper, yet maximum of them do not. There will be different causes for his or her disasters, yet maximum persons of the time, those are the major causes. i have got here across it is mandatory to be direct and authoritative with them to get what you want the way that you ordered them, in the different case, they don't get it in any respect or only undeniable do not care. chatting with the manager would not do some thing because they don't care both. then you truthfully get living house with nutrients for the family individuals and 50% of the order is incorrect and could not get eaten (for in spite of causes) except you're making yet another vacation back as a lot as get the order fastened the way you initially requested for it. What am i able to assert, it is not the perfect device, yet when you've screwed over such lots of cases, you get unwell of being magnificent to idiots who do not supply a rat's *** about doing their artwork proper.

What? there is not reason to have to tip a fast food restaurant, however it is very much appreciated if you pick up after yourself.
