do dogs nipples only fill up with milk if they are pregnant? she hasnt showed any signs of a false pregnancy, but her stomach isnt big, and she isnt nesting, and she would be due right around now. but she licks down there alot, and she sleeps constantly, but she isnt eating very much. help

Your dog isnt pregnant. When dogs are pregnant their nipples stiffen up, not droop down.

My dog went through all the normal signs of being pregnant milk and everything and it ended up being false pregnancy. a lot of animals will go through that even if they're not you'll just have to wait 60 days and see if she has puppies

a dog will usually stop eating and drinking about24 hrs. before they have their babies! sometimes it is as long as 48 hrs.. I've never heard of a dog having them full of milk and not pregnant!!?? they also get very lazy and don't seem to want to be bother right before the have them!! maybe she is going to go soon!!?? couldn't tell you 100%!!

It sounds as though she could be pregnant; if she doesn't eat soon, or deliver puppies, I would get her to the vet.

its either that or cancer(sorry) I had to put my dog down a few year back because the cancer spread,I'd advise a vet trip just to be sure
