my bf stays with me and he told me he was going to give me some money on the bills. well a whole week went by and nothing. i know he has it in the bank too. he also seen where i was struggling a little also. well as soon as i started acting like the relationship needs to be over then he says he will give me the money tommorrow. he knows i like to go ahead and pay the bills. why was he holding off so long. and he didnt forget either. he has done this before. its like he wants me to argue or beg for the money. he should pay cause he stays here too. should i just break up with him cause i have had this conversation before. he is 43 years old and knows better. i rather just not except the money and just tell him to leave. its too stressful asking someone over and over to pay their share when they know they should. is this a sign of control ?what do you think?

Control? Girl please. This is a sign of a sorry a** man. He's 43 so that means he's grown AND sorry. You shouldnt have to be begging or even asking no grown man who is staying with you to come with his half of the bills, rent, gas, food WHATEVER IT IS if that is your man. ESPECIALLY if he has the money on hand. You shouldnt even have to argue about it. It should be a given: We live together, we pay together. Hell Naw, girl. He sounds like a real hand full. You can do bad all by yourself. Without the stress of the drama.

My boyfriend used to do the same thing when he moved in with me in 1993! The very first month he didn't have his rent! Boy was I mad! I told him to get out and go somewhere else and pay his own rent or he can stay and give me half the rent. He had a choice, he chose to stay and pay his half the rent, and now 13 years later he pays all the rent !You need to be strong and firm and tell him that you are tired and fed up with having to ask for the rent each month. He knows when the rent is due and tell him to start having his half without you having to ask him for it or get out and go pay rent somewhere else. He is 43 years old, he needs to be more responsible and step up and be a man. My bf was 29 years old when he moved in with me and now he is 42 and alot more responsible.

43 years old. He should know better. It's not a sign of control, really. He's getting a free ride it seems. Instead of begging for the money, tell him he's running out of fool. If he can't figure out what that means, just tell him to leave. Then see what happens. Win-win for you, I think.

Do you live together? It sounds like this guy could be married if he isnt living with you full time. You need to be confrontational, he could be a real cheap jerk. For best results, check his wallet while he is sleeping. That way you get the cash, no questions asked.

it's a sign of procrastination and just being cheap to see if you will forget. if he keeps playing games let him get his own place and pay his own bills so he can see how it feels to wonder about when the bills will get paid

to pay ahead a be a part of the plan or he should leave on his own
