If so -what do you think about the camera? Compact/bulky, value for money or not? Picture quality?

Supposedly the higher ISO performance has been boosted in the G7. But, no RAW and the lens is slower (The G6 has maximum aperture of 2.0)
I have the G6, wonderful camera, even with its limitations. I imagine if you don't need the RAW, then the G7 is another winner in the G series.

I don't have it, my friend bought one.

Fantastic camera - second camera of professionals just in case, to me it's too bulky

You may consider G6 as well, I like the f/2.0 aperture, RAW format (not found in G7)

I favor G6 over G7
