Depends on your adjusted gross income, your filing status, and number of qualifying children.

taxable income and other deductions. So let's say you have made 15,000 for the year and paid 1,200 for insurance. you would have 13,800 in taxable income. Then you claim your filing status, head of house hold, single, married, what ever it would be. Eventually you get to a certain point where they figure in the EIC. If your taxable income is too low - the amount that you recieve for your EIC could be greatly reduced.

Your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) Must Be Less Than:

$35,263 ($37,263 for married filing jointly) if you have more than one qualifying child,

$31,030 ($33,030 for married filing jointly) if you have one qualifying child, or

$11,750 ($13,750 for married filing jointly) if you do not have a qualifying child.

Adjusted gross income (AGI). AGI is the amount on line 4 of Form 1040EZ, line 22 of Form 1040A, or line 38 of Form 1040.

You can get back anywhere from $9 - $2,662 depending on your AGI.
