I told my girlfriend that I loved her the other night when we were cuddling at her house during a movie. I did not mean to say it, because I am not sure how I feel about her, at first I thought mabye she didn't understand me, or mabye wasn't paying as close attention, but she remebers and asked me about it. What should I do?

Some of you are saying that if I dont know, the I must be waisting my time, its not that, its just we havent been going out too long is the problem, I think of love as something that needs time.

Tell her the truth. Make sure you are somewhere that you will not be interrupted. Tell her you have something to say to her that might be hurtful but you want to be honest. You would like her to listen until you are finished and please be understanding. Then tell her.
Say that you are young and that you may have over stated your feelings towards her. You like her very much and don't want to lose her. Your too young to claim to understand love.

don't worry, love is only as deep as you're able to feel it and the younger you are, the less able you are to feel it fully. it's just something that comes with age. Same with her, she's not able to fully process what love is either so just chill and don't worry, if she asks you again, say "yeah, i love you, i think you're a great person and i like hanging out with you" i'm not saying I'll part the sea for you!!! and then just change the subject.

I know if a guy told me he loved me and didn't mean it, it would piss me off the longer he holds his true feelings. She sounds like she is obviously unsure as well. Tell her you should take things slower and never say it again until you are sure.

Tell the truth. If you can't than is your relationship really what it should be?
I would respect a guy for saying, "hey, I said I was inlove, but I'm not entierly sure."
that also shows her you're willing to be honest... hope it works out for you ^_^

You should go with it, you said it for a reason. Don't think so much and just love as you can. You may not be the loving person she wants you to be-but I am sure that you are able to be as loving as you can be with her.
Just go with it...and stop thinking about it so much.

im a 13 yr old girl. i don't know anything about love but depending on IF you know if you been in love or not you don't really know if you are in love with her. when couples are talking on the phone when they say bye and most say ''bye, i love you'' they dont know that either. its normal. have you ever been in love? thats the only way YOU could answer you question.
