This is a country that has been caught selling nuclear technology to Syria.
Harbours terrorists(It is known the Taliban and Al Qaeda have camps there)
The London bombers of July 05 were of Pakistani origin, received training and their orders from there.
American Intelligence services believe that Osama Bin Laden is in Pakistan.
They invaded Iraq on much flimsier excuses.
Or is it that they don't have the balls to take on a nation with nuclear capability?

We have had terrorists living in our midst too. Would we appreciate France invading us for that reason? We have terrorists living within both our countries. Don't think so? Why not? The reasoning is the same. Pakistan is also trying to rid itself of terrorists. They pose a risk to their govt also.

Were you aware this country sells nuclear technology to other questionable countries? The gov't makes it possible. Westinghouse, et al does the rest. It is no more right for us to do so than for them. What makes you think India has not done the same thing? And the French? Brits?Russia?China?

The fact remains that Pakistan is more useful to us than a problem, being one of the few Muslim countries willing to work with us. Sure they would like to be rid of our influence. The same with Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, need I go on? They need us & we need them

On the other hand, why don't we wage war on all Muslim countries? We can't possibly win. It would cure their problem with us. But it would keep the bloodthirstys among us happy while it lasted.

Actually if you paid attention to certain events after 9-11 you would have been informed that we nearly did invade Pakistan along with afghanistan, but were actually scared straight. Either help us or "...I'll bomb the **** out of you.."- G.W. Bush, during a conversation with the President of Pakistan during talks to use Pakistani land and air space for operations during the afghan campain shortly after the terrorist strike of 9-11.

Pakistan has been quite helpful to us and we have given them the tools to help rid their country of the terrorist scum bags. The fact is the border between Afghanistan and pakistan is so mountainous and very rough terrain that there is almost no way to completely get rid of all the terrorists in one quick swoop.

And to say Bush wouldnt invade a country with nuclear weapons is quite foolish, considering the fact any nuclear move pakistan would try to make would mean a full retalitory strike which would then cause massive damage and loss of life in pakistan and surrounding areas not to mention other countries would then have a reason to use their own weapons.

Just because Pakistan has a nuclear bomb doesnt mean they would be dumb enough to use it. Doing so would mean the destruction of their country and they know it.

Besides there are bigger things to worry about at the present moment, N.Korea and Iran. Not to mention trying to end the war in Iraq with out destroying the entire credibility and honor of the US, plus the search for Bin Laden and the recent spike of Taliban activity in Afghanistan. Israel and Palistine's near all out war, Syria's involvment of allowing terrorist crossings into Iraq among other things, China's willingness to go to war over Tiwan, need I say more?

Pakistan is no threat and would be a waste of time, money, manpower and equipment urgently needed in other areas of the world. Plus we would lose a valuable staging ground for any future combat operations.
