Where did you get the 'old' program?

Incase you are using Windows XP it would havecreated some restore points by itself. You can roll back to this point and use the earlier version.
Otherwise there is no other option than to uninstall the current version and install the old one. To uninstall the software go to control panel > add or remove programs and remove the software from there
